ABOUT THE BAND

Mia Marlene is a Danish-American indie pop artist and bandleader blending 1980s synth-pop shimmer with lush, emotive melodies. Mia Marlene and her band live somewhere between nostalgia and forward-thinking pop—music for dancing it out and overthinking it later.

Her self-produced debut album, good for my art, along with recent singles “Cobain” and “Witching Hour,” draw inspiration from time spent living in London, Copenhagen, Colorado, and D.C. The project pulls from a patchwork of places, feelings, and a few heartbreaks that absolutely deserved to become songs. With sharp lyrics and rich, layered production, Mia Marlene and her band turn life’s beautiful mess into irresistibly catchy indie pop.
